Your hotel in the center of Positano

  1. Luxurious suites.
  2. Panoramic restaurant with view of the Bay of Naples.
  3. Just 5 minutes away from the sea of the Amalfi Coast

The Posa Posa of Positano is one of the Amalfi Coast's oldest and best-loved hotels. Like great part of the coastal architecture, the hotel has been built on precipitous terraces carved into the cliff face, almost directly above the sea.

Each and every one of Hotel Posa Posa's romantic bedrooms and suites has a balcony or terrace from where breathtaking views of Positano and the sea can be seen. Individually appointed, the spacious and light-filled rooms are furnished in traditional Mediterranean style and feature the exquisite hand painted majolica floor tiles for which the Amalfi Coast and, in particular the town of Vietri sul Mare, is famous.

Hotel Posa Posa's Mirage restaurant serves excellent regional cuisine in the main dining room or on the large sea-view terrace. In the evenings guests are likely to head to the hotel's popular wine bar, a great after-dinner venue where to enjoy a glass of fine wine whilst listening to the tones of soft piano music.

On-site leisure facilities include a gym and, on the seventh floor of the hotel, a solarium. An elegant function room is available for small-scale meetings and seminars.

The perfect choice for a dream holiday spent relaxing on Positano's sun-kissed beaches and strolling through the town's beautiful historic center, Hotel Posa Posa is also the ideal base for those wishing to explore the rest of the Amalfi Coast, and is just a short bus or car ride from the towns of Amalfi, Atrani and Ravello.

Great Views, People, and Location

Great hotel. Loved the view. Has a pool which is great too. AC worked perfectly. Rooms were big enough and great balcony. Higher up at Positano but we like that (we enjoyed the walk down, which is part road, part steps). Antonio was my favorite person - he worked the breakfast each morning and was my friend. Also Havindo in the breakfast area was great too. Nicest people. Felt like family instantly. Would stay here again. Also right by bus stop if you want. And by Saraceno d' Oro which is fantastic pasta and the best pizza.

It smells

Went here on the last leg of our honeymoon which is where we wanted to splurge in Positano. For the expensive price, the rooms were very out of date. Forget using the TV, it just doesn’t work. Maria was lovely. The real issue (besides them catfishing us about the size of the pool in the photos, which is essentially a dirty dunk tank) was the smell. Housekeeping came to clean the room (but did not take trash, interestingly?) leaving the windows wide open while we were out for hours. When the humidity was let in, the smell of mildew was pretty much unbearable. We tried our best to navigate it ourselves because we didn’t want to complain but after a day it was simply intolerable. The sheets were also damp and sticky from the humidity. When we asked about it, someone came in and spritzed some air freshener, shrugged and left.

We stayed at Hotel Posa Posa for our wedding in Positano, and it was a perfect experience. The hotel was very clean, and our room was absolutely amazing — spacious, comfortable, and with a breathtaking view. All the staff were incredibly kind and helpful, always making sure we had everything we needed. Breakfast was also very good, with a nice selection each morning. Compared to many other hotels in the area, Posa Posa felt more recently renovated and well-maintained. The beautiful view from our room added so much charm and truly made our wedding experience even more magical. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Positano — especially for special occasions like ours!

Relaxing stay at Hotel Posa Posa, Positano!

We just returned from our eight night stay at Hotel Posa Posa. Guilio, Maria and Gennardo were the best! As soon as we arrived, we felt that we were greeted as family by Maria! After a great orientation and local tips by Gennardo, we were definitely ready to explore the area. I had communicated earlier with Guilio, who was prompt and helpful in his responses. He continued to help me with useful information and transport arrangements throughout my stay. The room was large and cosy, cleaned every day and we were satisfied with the cleanliness of all the facilities. Perhaps the bathroom could be renovated and a shower stall replace the current bathtub that was pretty high to step into. We had reserved a quad room as we expected our grandkids to sleep over a few days during our visit. The room had an old Italy feel. The breakfast area offered many choices and an exceptional view and the waiter who looked after us daily, was just wonderful. Positano is a very hilly city, you have to walk a lot to get anywhere on uphill and downhill terrain. It really helped that we did not have to climb steps to get into Posa Posa, as you got into the entrance from the street and immediately walked into the lobby and the elevator. This is not true of many hotels and B& Bs in the city! If I were to visit Positano again, I would definitely stay at Posa Posa and also add a few days in Sorrento!
