Arrived in Nerano We asked to reserve a table at Cantuccio, they replied that they do not reserve tables, it's 'first come, first served'. We said that we would return after 1 hour. We arrived and asked to be seated, many tables were free and we expressed a preference to sit at a specific table. The person who told us earlier that we could not reserve a table told us that the table we had asked for was reserved and made us sit at a table chosen by them. First contradiction. Ordered the dishes. Mixed seafood appetizers, abundant but with uncoordinated flavors. Amberjack tartare covered by melon. We hadn't finished the appetizers and they told us that the first courses were ready. First courses with too much oil. Prices almost like a Michelin-starred restaurant without being one. Beyond this, the extra charge was out of place.

Spaghetti alla Nerano, prepared with fried zucchini and Provolone del Monaco, eaten for the first time and on a charming wooden terrace suspended directly over the sea. Never tasted a dish like that.

There is little sense here of the Italian tradition of preparing and serving food with genuine care, pride, and hospitality. Instead, the establishment appears primarily driven by maximizing profit in the shortest possible time. The fish course, for instance, consisted of merely half a fish—a disappointing portion that reflected a lack of generosity as much as culinary respect. Equally underwhelming were the leathery antipasti and the dry, uninspiring potatoes, devoid of the aroma and character one would expect from such a celebrated regional cuisine. Regrettably, the experience fell far short of the refined gastronomic heritage for which Campania is renowned.

Definitely a tourist trap. The waiter said he’d make a special meal for us. He also said the same thing to every table. Tricks you into buying $110 dollar fish. Food was good, not great. Flavor is bland. Would not recommend unless you have no other choice. Worst lemoncello in Italy. Tastes like medicine.
