Really unfriendly staff! They were quite upset that ee ate ony 3 pizza and we were 6. They don’t put “coppertto” on the meni, and you’ll be surprised in the end when you see it’s 4€/each, basically half a pizza.

Touted as the nicest restaurant in Minori, it is worth a visit, but was a bit too hit and miss for the price. First for the hits - great location, if you are able to be seated at a table outside under the lemon vines it makes for a pleasant setting. Also, the aperitivos were all very good and the waitstaff and maitre d were all excellent, providing great service without being too obtrusive. The halibut secondi was likewise excellent and the lemon focaccia was a nice local flavor. Now for the misses - the wine list has a greater upcharge than you will find in most of southern Italy, although being a somewhat less touristy city on the Amalfi Coast it is perhaps understandable. The gnocchi with anchovy sauce was completely one dimensional with the salt of the anchovies dominating every other potential flavor, leaving a selection of doughy salt sponges on the plate that were barely edible. It is still worth a try if you can get outside seating on a nice night and skip the anchovy sauce.

This is a beautiful restaurant and the food was fantastic. We found this restaurant with the help of AI. We were visiting Minori for the first time by ferry from Amalfi and didn’t know where to visit or where to eat. We used Chat GPT and asked it to plan for a few hours in Minori and it suggested to go to Basilica di Santa Trofimena, Villa Romana di Minori in the morning and then go to Ristorante Giardiniello for lunch. On arrival, we decided to sit inside with the air conditioning and the restaurant is lovely. There was a lovely choice in the menu but we decided on a pizza each and large Peroni. The pizzas were the best that we had eaten during our week on the Amalfi Coast. We explained to the staff how we were recommended to visit them by Chat GPT and they were fascinated by that. Basically, if you are in Minori and need a restaurant, we would definitely recommend Ristorante Giardiniello !
