We returned for the second year in this magnificent restaurant which is of course not only restaurant but is Welcoming in a fantastic location with its gardens the cellar etc. We asked in advance to prepare the Vesuvius pasta which was a dish of a few years ago now off the menu. Thank you and congratulations

The inspiration of the Mediterranean diet, the quality of the products, the taste of the sea in vegetables and tomatoes, excellent culinary art, spontaneous kindness and immediate sympathy: all this made our dinner, the second after several years, once again unforgettable. Who like me has spent many years in S.Agata sui due Golfo knows what Alfonso and Livia Iaccarino, their children, their families have represented and represent for this land and, more generally, for Italian cuisine in the world. We are filled with admiration and gratitude.

What can I say - this place is outstanding. The food was fabulous, service faultless. Very nice ambience and decor. We were invited to have a tour of the wine cellar before we left - wow! - this was the icing on the cake. All in all we visited this restaurant on the final night of our week long stay in Sant Agata and it was truly the highlight of our holiday.

A bit challenging to get to, 30 mins outside of Sorrento in the surrounding hills, so make sure you have a pick up scheduled to take you back if not staying on site. Arriving, we received a tour of the ancient wine cellar, dating back to pirate days, and quite impressive. Somewhat stark white dining room... circa '80's Miami Vice. We decided on the coursed meal although a la carte is available. Excellent service, Good meal with some interesting flavors. Is this the best meal I've ever had? No, but it was well presented and executed.

Map

At the centre of the lovely village of Sant'Agata sui Due Golfi, (so-named because it sits astride the two spectacular gulfs of Naples and Salerno) is a small cluster of houses that date from the nineteenth century. The restaurant occupies the central building, and is surrounded by five luxurious suites for our guests to stay in. Instead, our country farm is situated in the village of Termini- far from S. Agata sui due Golfi about 5 km-in front of Capri Island.
By motorway: Who comes here by car, should follow the motorway Napoli-Salerno until the exit of Castellamare di Stabia and then the directions Penisola Sorrentina. At Meta di Sorrento it's necessary to follow sign posts for Positano and - after 6 km - turn right to S. Agata sui due Golfi.
By train from Naples: At Naples' station - called Piazza Garibaldi - you could take the Circumvesuviana's trains and in about an hour you will arrive in Sorrento. Once there, in 15 minutes by taxi you would be in S. Agata sui due Golfi.
By hydrofoil from Naples' port - Molo Beverello - you could arrive in Sorrento in 30 minutes, once there you just could continue by taxi until S. Agata sui due Golfi.
Other ways from Positano and Sorrento: Besides the excellent taxi's services, that we sincerely suggest, at lunch you could come here by buses (SITA, Circumvesuviana).
