Restaurant in the heart of Cetara, sublime cuisine, truly excellent, 5-star spaghetti with anchovy sauce.

We have been regular customers of this place over the last 20 years, even though we hadn't returned in 5 years. It's no longer a pizzeria, what a shame. High prices, but in line with the costs on the coast. Unsatisfactory food. Two squid skewers (€17.00) that were tough and lacked flavor. A plate of spaghetti with anchovy sauce (their traditional signature dish) that was tasteless and a small portion. I read in a previous review that another person complained about the same flaw and problem, and the owner replied that you just had to ask and they would have brought more sauce. However, the dish must be served perfect, and in any case, they should let you know that there is the possibility of adding more seasoning. The location is always charming and the staff is very kind.

Restaurant found by chance while searching on the internet, excellent raw materials, we ate the fried foods and the first courses, all accompanied by a nice glass of white wine. Fast service and attentive to the customer's needs

We returned to the Convento hoping to find the glory of the past, but unfortunately the experience was quite disappointing. From an aesthetic point of view, there is nothing to say: the place is truly very beautiful, elegant, well-kept, and very clean, with an evocative open kitchen that always makes a great impression. Nothing to complain about regarding the service either: the staff was kind and welcoming throughout the evening. The real problems, unfortunately, begin when the dishes arrive at the table: Tuna Genovese: Total disappointment. The flavor of the tuna was almost nonexistent, completely covered up. As if that weren't enough, the portion was really skimpy. Spaghetti with clams: The best dish of the evening, the pasta was good even if with a decidedly too heavy hand on the salt. Very salty, but overall acceptable. Mixed fried fish: Simply forgettable. A meager portion for a decidedly disproportionate price (€22). Quality/quantity/price ratio completely out of line with the market. In short... a great shame for a historic establishment. Where has the old glory of the Convento gone? There is definitely a need for a shake-up. Come on!
