Al Convento

Restaurant found by chance while searching on the internet, excellent raw materials, we ate the fried foods and the first courses, all accompanied by a nice glass of white wine. Fast service and attentive to the customer's needs

We returned to the Convento hoping to find the glory of the past, but unfortunately the experience was quite disappointing. From an aesthetic point of view, there is nothing to say: the place is truly very beautiful, elegant, well-kept, and very clean, with an evocative open kitchen that always makes a great impression. Nothing to complain about regarding the service either: the staff was kind and welcoming throughout the evening. The real problems, unfortunately, begin when the dishes arrive at the table: Tuna Genovese: Total disappointment. The flavor of the tuna was almost nonexistent, completely covered up. As if that weren't enough, the portion was really skimpy. Spaghetti with clams: The best dish of the evening, the pasta was good even if with a decidedly too heavy hand on the salt. Very salty, but overall acceptable. Mixed fried fish: Simply forgettable. A meager portion for a decidedly disproportionate price (€22). Quality/quantity/price ratio completely out of line with the market. In short... a great shame for a historic establishment. Where has the old glory of the Convento gone? There is definitely a need for a shake-up. Come on!

We were at the Convento both Friday night and for lunch on Sunday. Truly excellent cuisine, but even more so, a truly kind dining room staff. Greetings to Antonio and Christian who were fantastic, and it is also thanks to them that we returned a second time.

We returned to this restaurant after years, but unfortunately we didn't find any of what we remembered; the service was distracted and rushed, the food was not of the same quality, and consequently, the prices were unjustifiably high. Too bad!
