Buca di Bacco

Recommended by a dear friend we went to this restaurant, all excellent, from the service to the dishes passing through the structure; then see the kitchen brigade at work (open kitchen) and a pleasure both for the eyes and after for the palate, I think right for the quality, place and service.

We stayed at Buca di Bacco restaurant in Positano on the beautiful terrace overlooking the sea, we were a group of about fifteen guys and the experience was completely positive. The food was taken care of. The reception was impeccable: friendly, helpful and attentive staff despite being a large group. They reserved us a beautiful table, perfect to enjoy the day in company with a breathtaking view. We will definitely be back!

We had a bad experience because of the room manager in particular. Intrusive attitude and in particular in insistently proposing the off menu with the surprise of a bill of 260 euros in 2 people. On the costs of off-menu dishes, you can also invent a very high price but 40 euros for 2 glasses of limocello is unacceptable!!! To avoid!!!

We were staying in Positano for 3 nights at Hotel Buca Di Bacco and had friends staying in nearby hotels for a total of 11 people. We had planned to arrive by ferry and had set our reservation time for the whole group for dinner right after our planned arrival. Day of though, the ferries were all canceled because of the wind and we were worried we were going to miss our reservation. We were able to get taxi's though instead and arrived sooner than we would have by Ferry and were able to make our reservation time. The service team immediately was able to read the table and guide us through suggestions to eat more family style so everyone could try some of multiple dishes, from appetizers, to pasta, to the tableside whole fish, to dessert, everything was excellent. The timing and attention of service was amazing. Thanks to the entire staff for a great first night in Positano!
