Da Adolfo

The atmosphere is unique and so happy and it made for our best lunch on the Italian coast. From the characterful boat pick up and piping hot dishes of grilled prawns and anchovies, Spaghetti with squid and zucchini and chilled Italian white wine ( reasonable 30 euros a bottle) we felt we feasted like kings and queens and that we’d found that authentic Italian experience. Love that you can reserve sunbeds ahead next to the restaurant for a quick lie down afterwards. Don’t hesitate to book.

Adolfo is a special, unique place that, in my opinion, does not exist a second time! Prices can still be considered adequate and affordable for the Amalfi area! The staff are all nice individuals - if you come often, it feels like family! There are some signature dishes - grilled mozzarella on lemon leaves - pesto with friarelli (green pepper from the area) Perfect anchovies… and and and! Always recommended - it is not a restaurant in the conventional sense!

The beach was nice enough, but my spaghetti vongole only had 4 clams open...all the rest were closed and had to be thrown out. Also, we had the ask 3 times for my friend's lunch that never came out. Bummer! Luca and team were very nice though. We went to much better places for lunch and beach time.

Da Adolfo was a highlight of our trip! The mussel soup was our favorite dish but the clam pasta & eggplant parmesan were also very good. The ~10 minute boat to the beach was fun and a nice way to see Positano from the water. The staff were very friendly & attentive. We didn’t book beach chairs but were able to hang out at the public beach for a couple of hours after lunch. We brought our own beach towels to lay on. A lovely & memorable afternoon!
