At the Anantara Convento di Amalfi Grand Hotel, everything revolves around the harmony between old and new. The welcome is that reserved for guests of a 5-star hotel on the Amalfi Coast, but its soul is rooted in the ancient past of this land. The hotel was born from the restoration of an ancient 13th-century Capuchin convent, and today guests can still admire its Arab-Norman cloister and original chapel.
Fully renovated in 2023, the hotel has 52 rooms and suites, almost all overlooking the sea. Middle Eastern architectural touches shape spacious, light-filled interiors, furnished with particular attention to contemporary design and equipped with every modern comfort, including air conditioning and free Wi-Fi. Every room is also a small lookout point, thanks to the view over the sea of Amalfi. Among the most exclusive accommodations are the Prior, Hermit and Presidential suites, each with its own character: some with a private terrace and hot tub, others overlooking the cloisters or set independently within the lemon grove.
The heated infinity pool, open year-round, is a terrace suspended above the waters of the Amalfi Coast, a view that can also be admired from the Monks' Walk and the Loggia. A 12th-century chapel makes the hotel a special venue for weddings and events. From its elevated position, the Anantara Convento di Amalfi Grand Hotel seems to dominate the entire Bay of Amalfi. The hotel sits at the entrance to the small seaside town, along the winding curves of the Divine Coast, just 600 meters and a 10-minute walk from the historic center of Amalfi and its majestic Cathedral. Likewise, most of the coast's best-known towns are just a short distance away, from nearby Atrani to Furore, Praiano, Conca dei Marini, Positano, and on the opposite side, Ravello, Maiori, Minori and Vietri sul Mare.
