La Bussola occupies an early 20th century pasta factory, painstakingly restored and masterly converted in unique, 4 star hotel. Brimming with Mediterranean charm, the hotel's spacious, light-filled bedrooms are furnished in classic Amalfi Coast fashion, complete with the area's typical, hand-painted majolica floor tiles. Almost all rooms enjoy breathtaking views of the sea. La Bussola's restaurant is famous for its delicious Neapolitan cuisine, served in the hotel's elegant dining rooms or on the panoramic, sea view, terrace. The hotel's superb food and wine and romantic in and outdoor dining venues make it the perfect location for a dream wedding reception or gala dinner. For small scale business functions and conferences, La Bussola has an attractive, 100 seat meeting room.

Located on the seafront of Amalfi, overlooking the harbor, La Bussola lies within easy walking distance of the town's beautiful little beaches and picturesque historic center. The towns of Atrani and Positano are just a short car or boat ride away. Holidaymakers unwilling to stray far from the comfort of their bedroom, might easily be found soaking up the Mediterranean sun in La Bussola's fourth floor solarium or on the sea edge sundeck, situated on the rocks directly opposite the hotel. Private parking is available for those guests traveling by car.

Lovely Breathtaking Views

Lovely hotel right across from the water with breathtaking views of the coast. Lobby and common areas have a nice welcoming feeling. Rooms are spacious and immaculate. Towels and sheets were changed every day with a new supply of toiletries. The A/C was pretty good, although we had better in other Italian hotels. Breakfast was delicious and service impeccable. The only issue was the rooftop bar that plays loud music until 10 pm and we were on the 3rd floor so two of the three nights were a bit noisy. Aside from that it was a great place.

This hotel is located well on the water and about a five minute walk from the ferry if you’re arriving to Amalfi that way. The hotel is very clean. We had a corner room with two balconies overlooking the side and the water in the front. The bed was comfortable. Breakfast was very good. And service at breakfast buffet was excellent as well. We both travel frequently throughout the year for work and comparing this experience. We would definitely return to this hotel!

Clean hotel in an excellent location for those who move around on foot like us, close to the center, port, and bus stop. All the staff were very welcoming and professional, providing us with the information we needed for our travels. Hearty breakfast for all tastes.

Waterfront Location! Close to transportation!

There are very few hotels with water views in Amalfi and La Bussola is one of them. It is walking distance to ferries and busses you will likely be using to visit other towns. The staff was kind and accommodating and the restaurant was excellent for dinner and the included breakfast. The tile and decor have a seaside vibe that we loved. Definitely worth having a room with a balcony. We used ours every day! Do consider bringing earplugs if you will be there on a Saturday as there is a club close by.
