With its graceful arches, pretty, flower-decked balconies, and magnificent sea view terraces, Positano's Hotel Punta Regina is the kind of place dream holidays are made of.

Brimming with southern Italian charm, Hotel Punta Regina's light-filled bedrooms feature exquisite, hand-painted majolica floor tiles, sumptuous marble bathrooms, and beautiful views of the town of Positano or the sea. Ideal honeymoon accommodation, each of Punta Regina's suites has its own sea view terrace complete with outdoor Jacuzzi and gazebo.

The hotel's fourth floor terrace provides a wonderfully panoramic, open air breakfast room, where guests are treated to a generous selection of local pastries, cheeses, cold meats and fresh fruit each morning. In the evening, as the sun sets, the terrace quickly transforms into an exclusive venue for a cocktail party or glamorous social gathering.

Drenched in sun from dawn until dusk, the hotel's terraces are the perfect places in which to achieve an authentic, Mediterranean tan, as are Positano's "Spiaggia Grande" and "Fornillo" beaches, both of which are situated within easy reach of Punta Regina. For holidaymakers keen to explore the other towns dotted along the Amalfi Coast, reception staff will be pleased to organize guided tours and excursions, either by car or boat.

Blown away by our stay at Hotel Punta Regina! The staff was incredible, super friendly and extremely helpful. They made us feel like royalty. The hotel was very clean and smelled amazing. The roof top area for breakfast had amazing views that photos don't do justice for. It's great to have breakfast included and available every morning. We enjoyed relaxing on the lounge chairs and ordering drinks on the roof. The hotel is located in a good area that is close walking distance to shops, restaurants, and beaches. Our room was on the smaller side however, it was still big enough for us and had plenty of closet/dresser space. The bathroom was large and had hot water. Our balcony was huge and we had views of the ocean from our second floor room! The bed and pillows were very comfortable and the hotel was extremely quiet. Overall, 10/10 experience highly recommend this hotel. Tips: - The roads are steep/narrow, you will need to walk A LOT. Only bring comfy sneakers as there are a ton of stairs, even more than I expected. - Amalfi Heaven Gardens cooking class was the highlight of our entire trip. We rented a Vespa from Positano Rent (down the road from the hotel) and it was roughly a 40 min ride to the class. It was incredible (BOOK IT)! The hotel let us park the vespa in their garage and I would advise to drive early in the morning when it's less crowded. - Best to visit the town/shops early in the morning when it's less packed - We used Amalfi Coast transfers private car service to get from Naples train station to he hotel. Best decision we made because we didn't need to lug bags and the car was super clean/nice. Highly recommend arranging with them. - We did a private sunset cruise with Positano Boats and it was so much fun. Recommend dressing warm though as it's cold/windy on the water. Great way to see the coast/towns. Restaurants: - Next 2 is right next to the hotel and it was an amazing dinner spot, highly recommend. Really convenient for a first night dinner. Probably our favorite dinner. - Da Vincenzo is roughly a ten min walk and the lunch/dinner we had here was fantastic - ROC Pizza & Steak, farther walk but worth it. The best pizza we had was here, a little pricey but worth it. - Casa Bottega is a cute café, roughly 15 min walk. They had the best freshly squeezed juice and amazing healthy lunch options - Saraceno D' Oro was another close option for lunch/dinner, more casual and had good pizza - Ristorante Pupetto, right on the beach and it had incredible food. Worth a trip to the beach and enjoying lunch here (roughly 15 mins down steps to get here). You can also rent a beach chair for roughly 25 euros per person to enjoy the beach and it's less crowded than the main one. Cons: - If you have any trouble walking, you may want to stay closer into the center of town. The steep roads and steps are no joke. We're active people and our legs hurt. - Weather changed dramatically, so bring layers. Rain never lasted long though - Would have loved to have the pool be heated or have a hot tub at the hotel - Driving isn't really an option here. If you want to visit a near by town, it's best to plan a separate place to stay or try the ferry although it looked busy so you need tickets early

Upgrade to a higher floor. Otherwise, don’t stay there.

We stayed 3 nights in September but since we had to change dates, we had to move to a standard room after 2 nights. I would strongly recommend NOT to book a standard room. It’s very noisy with no view. The views from our third level suite were amazing and it was quiet. Rooms are a bit outdated. No complimentary water which is a small thing but very surprising. The staff is amazing. Everyone we dealt with aimed to please. The breakfast was fantastic and they provided lots of gluten free options and went above and beyond to bring me a gluten free croissant after the first day!

We came here for a family vacation and had a wonderful time and received amazing care and attention from the fabulous Francesca and the staff, Giuseppina, Mario, and Giuseppi (our rooftop server). We had two rooms in the main hotel and we also had the 3 bedroom Villa Punta Re. We had a cook come to our villa and cook us a meal for 8 people and we took the suggestion for a wonderful 1/2 day boat excursion. The hotel helped us get the bags from the rooms to the ferry landing on the day of departure. The location is amazing with great food/drink options nearby in either direction and it was also a short walk down to the beach! Just amazing. Magical! VictorB

Nice Hotel

My husband and I stayed here for 1 night as part of our Amalfi Coast trip. The hotel is very nice and sits high up on a hill with an amazing view. We had a great room with a beautiful terrace. The room was expensive but this may be due to the Positano market. We really enjoyed sitting on the top level by the pool overlooking the water and mountains. We would have never paid for a room with a terrace because the view from the pool area was beautiful and the terrace added on significantly to the price of our room. The service was very friendly and helpful, especially Francesca at the front desk. The breakfast buffet was very good and had a nice variety although you didn't get options of things to order as other hotels had. Overall, this is a very nice hotel and we enjoyed our stay.

From its location in the highest part of the historic center of Positano, Hotel Punta Regina enjoys breathtakingly beautiful views of the sea.
The town's Fornillo and Spiaggia Grande beaches are both within easy walking distance of the hotel, as is the maze of little lanes in which to find any number of elegant boutiques selling Positano's colorful beachwear and legendary made-to-measure sandals.
The towns of Amalfi and Ravello and the tiny fishing villages of Praiano, Conca dei Marini, Furore, Atrani, Maiori and Minori are all no more than a 30 minute drive away.
