Via Pasitea, 224 - Positano

With its graceful arches, pretty, flower-decked balconies, and magnificent sea view terraces, Positano's Hotel Punta Regina is the kind of place dream holidays are made of.

Brimming with southern Italian charm, Hotel Punta Regina's light-filled bedrooms feature exquisite, hand-painted majolica floor tiles, sumptuous marble bathrooms, and beautiful views of the town of Positano or the sea. Ideal honeymoon accommodation, each of Punta Regina's suites has its own sea view terrace complete with outdoor Jacuzzi and gazebo.

The hotel's fourth floor terrace provides a wonderfully panoramic, open air breakfast room, where guests are treated to a generous selection of local pastries, cheeses, cold meats and fresh fruit each morning. In the evening, as the sun sets, the terrace quickly transforms into an exclusive venue for a cocktail party or glamorous social gathering.

Drenched in sun from dawn until dusk, the hotel's terraces are the perfect places in which to achieve an authentic, Mediterranean tan, as are Positano's "Spiaggia Grande" and "Fornillo" beaches, both of which are situated within easy reach of Punta Regina. For holidaymakers keen to explore the other towns dotted along the Amalfi Coast, reception staff will be pleased to organize guided tours and excursions, either by car or boat.

Punta Regina must do hotel!!

We had an incredible experience at this hotel. The staff was so helpful with transportation and restaurant recommendations in Positano. The breakfast was so deilcious especially the crossiants and bacon. But nothing compares to the outdoor space / deck area where you will eat your breakfast. It is a scene out of a postcard.

Punta Regina Delivers all the Promise of a Perfect Holiday on the Amalfi Coast!

Well deserving of their high-praise, Punta Regina was a perfect choice for us! Booking/Coordination. Booking directly with the website for us was the best rate/cancelation policy balance. Pre-arrival coordination was mostly via e-mail and some via WhatsApp. They were very responsive and always helpful for everything from transfer coordination to dining and activities options. Check-in. Coordinating a private driver we were dropped off out-front they grabbed our bags and we efficiently went through check-in and a very nice tour of the facilities and escort to our room. Seamless. Room. We booked the Oceanview Suite. Their suites have jacuzzi tub in bathroom or outdoor jacuzzi. As I understand it the outdoor jacuzzi rooms are on level 2 and indoor is on level 3. We had requested, and they were able to accommodate, the higher floor for best view although I would suppose it would be remarkable from the 2nd or 3rd floor. The room and terrace were beautiful. Another plus for our suite was a second bathroom. We could have spent our entire visit to Positano just sipping coffee or spritzes on our private terrace. Facilities. This small hotel is classically decorated and immaculate with a small lobby and few common areas. On the rooftop is a wonderful terrace overlooking the ocean and there they have a small infinity pool, some lounge chairs, and their restaurant which serves the complimentary breakfast and also a light lunch menu and of course cocktails. It was high-occupancy when we visited but still never felt limited space or tables. We spent some time each afternoon on the rooftop sipping on cocktails and soaking in the view. Dining. The breakfast buffet is a nice collection of Italian breakfast favorites along with typical “American” selections (scrambled eggs and bacon). Very good. We enjoyed lunch a couple of times and also very tasty. They do not serve dinner but of course steps aways are numerous superb options so that was never an issue for us. Staff. Always a cornerstone to a hotel is experience and attentive staff and Punta Regina has them. Both through personal engagement and via WhatsApp text staff were at the ready. They have pride in their hotel and the city of Positano and we genuinely do what it takes to make your holiday memorable. Location. In the heart of Positano, most things are within a walk however Positano is vertical so be ready for the calf workout and no shortage of walking. During high-season foot traffic in the downtown is staggering/stifling due in large part to day-trippers from the constant flow of ferries. A tip for enjoying the city is go early, avoid the late-morning/early afternoon (enjoy your hotel or tour elsewhere) and then return again in the evening (when the day-trippers have left). Tips. Personal choice of course and never felt it was “expected” but any place there are a lot of American tourists, the tip-culture shifts to American expectation. Fact. The hotel provides an option to add gratuity to the final bill distributed to “all staff”. My wife and I had high expectations of our visit to Punta Regina, and thanks to their central location, immaculate hotel, and friendly staff, these expectations were well exceeded. We already look forward to our return!

Incredible Stay at Punta Regina

we stayed at Punta Regina three summers ago and were very excited to return. Our stay far surpassed our expectations and we are already excited to come back. The staff is incredibly helpful from the moment you book the stay - from getting dining reservations, to arranging a car service, Mario and Francesca made our stay so easy. We splurged and got a Deluxe room with a jacuzzi on the balcony, and truly the room did not disappoint. The breakfast and pool staff were equally wonderful, and the food was fantastic. Overall, our second stay at Punta Regina confirmed what we already knew - that this hotel is a true gem in Positano and anyone coming to town should stay here.

Map

From its location in the highest part of the historic center of Positano, Hotel Punta Regina enjoys breathtakingly beautiful views of the sea.
The town's Fornillo and Spiaggia Grande beaches are both within easy walking distance of the hotel, as is the maze of little lanes in which to find any number of elegant boutiques selling Positano's colorful beachwear and legendary made-to-measure sandals.
The towns of Amalfi and Ravello and the tiny fishing villages of Praiano, Conca dei Marini, Furore, Atrani, Maiori and Minori are all no more than a 30 minute drive away.
