With its graceful arches, pretty, flower-decked balconies, and magnificent sea view terraces, Positano's Hotel Punta Regina is the kind of place dream holidays are made of.

Brimming with southern Italian charm, Hotel Punta Regina's light-filled bedrooms feature exquisite, hand-painted majolica floor tiles, sumptuous marble bathrooms, and beautiful views of the town of Positano or the sea. Ideal honeymoon accommodation, each of Punta Regina's suites has its own sea view terrace complete with outdoor Jacuzzi and gazebo.

The hotel's fourth floor terrace provides a wonderfully panoramic, open air breakfast room, where guests are treated to a generous selection of local pastries, cheeses, cold meats and fresh fruit each morning. In the evening, as the sun sets, the terrace quickly transforms into an exclusive venue for a cocktail party or glamorous social gathering.

Drenched in sun from dawn until dusk, the hotel's terraces are the perfect places in which to achieve an authentic, Mediterranean tan, as are Positano's "Spiaggia Grande" and "Fornillo" beaches, both of which are situated within easy reach of Punta Regina. For holidaymakers keen to explore the other towns dotted along the Amalfi Coast, reception staff will be pleased to organize guided tours and excursions, either by car or boat.

Buongiorno Bella! We cannot express enough great things about Punta Regina. From the staff to our room accommodations, pool, and breakfast—everything was perfect! Much love and a heartfelt thank you to Francesca for helping us make reservations and taking the time to answer all my questions. Milo, "Stick," and all the staff at Punta Regina—you are all amazing, and we thank you! Punta Regina is the most impressive place, and we all agree that if we are able to return to Positano, this is where we would stay! Thank you for making our trip so memorable! Arrivederci, Positano!

What an amazing hotel. We were a family of nine and not one of us had a complaint. Giseppe was our waiter upstairs on the balcony and he was unbelievably amazing. He couldn’t do enough for you. Mario and the staff at the front desk were very attentive and very very helpful. Not sure why you would want to stay anywhere else, this hotel always exceeded our expectations and I would highly recommend you check it out. Oh and I was able to get a haircut right next door to our hotel at Positano barberia.

We had an absolutely fantastic experience at the Hotel Punta Regina. The staff were exceedingly friendly, the room was beautiful, and the hotel was gorgeous. The breakfast was also one of the best we had during our three week travel across Italy. I highly recommend!

Beautiful views and lovely staff!

We booked a deluxe double room with terrace and were very pleased with our stay. The bed was HUGE — it must have been two full or queen sized beds pushed together — and the pillows were high quality foam. With that and the well-functioning A/C, we slept like babies. The view from our balcony was lovely, and we really enjoyed spending time out there every day. Most importantly, though, are how friendly, helpful, and highly competent the staff were. Everyone was lovely, but I’d call out Francesca for being so helpful in making sure we didn’t lose our dinner reservation after a delayed arrival; she gave us a very warm greeting when we arrived and was so cheerful every time we saw her. And then the gentleman who serves breakfast (whose name we didn’t catch) was hilarious and ensured each day started in good spirits. Our stay fell during a newsworthy heatwave across southern Europe, and I’d note that the ~25 min uphill walk to the hotel from the lower town was extremely punishing in the heat, even as two people in very good shape. I suppose not having taxis, tuktuks, or pedicabs preserves Positano’s character, but it means there’s no option but to have a grueling walk back to this upper town area. So I’d caution anyone who isn’t up for this kind of walk to stay in the lower town area, closer to the water. We otherwise did like the location a lot — there are very good views of Positano from this height, and there’s a decent amount of quality restaurants and shops on the street outside the hotel.

Map

From its location in the highest part of the historic center of Positano, Hotel Punta Regina enjoys breathtakingly beautiful views of the sea.
The town's Fornillo and Spiaggia Grande beaches are both within easy walking distance of the hotel, as is the maze of little lanes in which to find any number of elegant boutiques selling Positano's colorful beachwear and legendary made-to-measure sandals.
The towns of Amalfi and Ravello and the tiny fishing villages of Praiano, Conca dei Marini, Furore, Atrani, Maiori and Minori are all no more than a 30 minute drive away.
