Il pirata

I had such high expectations for this restaurant. It was booked well in advanced for my special birthday. We had intended to stay and dance and have post dinner drinks in their cocktail/dance bar. When I booked this reservation, I did specify it was for a special birthday. Our waiter could not have cared less about making our night special let alone feel like a wanted guest. We were sat in a back table, I had unwired about moving to a free table with a better view. I was told it was booked, even though it sat empty fur an hour. We weren’t offered wine after our martini to start. Our waiter made so much effort to celebrate another table clapping and singing and encouraging the staff and guests to cheer loudly. Both my friend and I felt very ignored. Good was ok but underwhelming. We ordered the cod and seared tuna. We had hoped to order desert but were ignored by our waiter. The ambiance is beautiful if you have the front row. I would not recommend this restaurant, it’s overpriced for the experience. *I did respond to a survey sent by Il Pirate, and had no follow up whatsoever, no apology for the poor service. Don’t waste your time here.

We have always wanted to try this restaurant for lunch and it did not disappoint Bookings are taken online, staff were all friendly and accommodating and the service was good All the tables had a lovely view overlooking the sea. We had a pasta dish each and a salad to share and a bottle of Prosecco and the price was really reasonable. My pasta dish was one of the best I tasted and we will definitely return next time we are in Italy

We came as couples and Ahmed took care of us, everything we needed he is really good! We didn’t find any issues or problems, we even booked sun-bed for next day and it was full but the guys helped us.

What a place! My husband and I spent the day on sun lounges and also had lunch in the restaurant which was fantastic. Il Pirata is on a rocky little spot, views across the water, excellent service. We climbed down a ladder into the clear water to swim. An absolute wonderful day!
