Does not live up to their ratings

I was recommended here by a friend and decided to give it a try. I saw that it had a lot of good reviews, but it certainly didn’t live up to it. The place is very beautiful but unless you are sitting next to the window /edge you won’t see the view. The food is okay, i definitely had way better food in Italy. We were seated and given an oral menu, without any knowledge or prices or what to expect. We realized it was a full course meal with different variety. By the third second course we were super full and told him we were all set and couldn’t eat more. They said you must try. they brought us out the next meal which was a meat platter. We explained to both waiters, that we were very full but that we would love to take it to go. We had a full platter of meat we were too full to enjoy. After paying our bill, I asked for our to go box and the waiter said he must have misunderstood. He said “my fault” and threw away the full platter of meat that was untouched. We paid 180 euros plus tip and didn’t get to eat our full meal. The kitchen was closing so we did not get a new meal or our money back not even partial. Nothing at all but a rude waiter saying my bad and walking away. They promised us a shuttle back to our hotel instead put us on a local bus . I would not recommend as I think you could have better food and a better experience anywhere else in Positano.

Family owned, family operated, family loved!

This is a great night for a real Italian experience. I was here 2 years ago for a cooking class with my family. So good I came back!!!

Good food; TERRIBLE experience

We arrived at this restaurant after having hiked 5 miles on “The Path of the Gods” and then through Nocelle and Positano. When we arrived we were offered bottles of very cold water and seats with a view. Then everything went way downhill. A “cooking class” that sounded liken a drunken disco party began in the room next door. There was an announcer on a bullhorn encouraging people to do crazy things. There were a series of terrible dance tunes, and I even thought I heard an “Alvin and the Chipmunks” song. It was like a wet T-shirt contest at spring break. We could barely talk, and the staff told us this was a regular occurrence. The waiter was kind and the food was very good, but the environment was terrible. Then when we thought it couldn’t get any worse, the bartender turned on a soccer game which competed with the wet T-shirt contest next door. This was by far the worst experience of a wonderful 2-week vacation in Italy.
