Super fun cooking class!

We loved our experience at La Tagliata! We did their infamous cooking class and it was absolutely worth the early start (we travelled by bus from Sorrento). Starting in the restaurant late morning, you pick veg from their gardens, they make you lunchtime dishes to indulge in as you mingle with others in the group in the main restaurant, the main seating area has a beautiful view and location, with an authentic feel given it's family run of 50+ years. In the afternoon you head down to their specific place for the cooking class, hosted by the Daughter and Son-in law of the restaurant. Other members of the family get involved and it's such a laugh, dancing, fun games, LOTS of wine and limoncello whilst preparing food. You then eat your dishes at the end whilst continuing to mingle and dance. It's a full day packed of alcohol and food with a buzzing atmosphere, the only thing I will say is I've seen some reviews mention it takes away the ambience because you can hear it from the restaurant, I would understand this as people are coming and going going through the restaurant to the bathrooms but the class is far enough away that I wouldn't say it's too loud inside the restaurant. Wouldn't recommend this class if you're going for a much quieter, relaxing meal, this class is to party with a crazy fabulous Italian family. Thoroughly enjoyed ourselves!

Bello il panorama ma il cibo non è un granché, soprattutto la carne non di qualità fresca, dura e secca, infatti l abbiamo lasciata, molto caro per quello che ti offrono

Transport provided. Was almost force fed slop. Everything was mediocre. They pick you up but expect you to finish everything quickly. They seemed very rushed to end service. I don’t know why they’d pick us up when clearly they’re pushing to close at 9PM. Everything was either overly salted, or dumped into a singular plate which made everything taste the same. Fries and salad were average at best. Meats were absolutely dry. It was SO dry, downing it with water proved ineffective. At some point we didn’t even know what we were eating. Sometimes, the wait staff would just pick up empty plates directly ACROSS your face. Dessert was very sad. It was simply melons and some half baked/frozen birthday cake(?). Wine was bad, atmosphere was average. The server announced that they only accepted cash so if you don’t have any, lucky for you, they have an ATM right up the restaurant. According to a nearby table, the charges for withdrawing cash were astronomical. Good luck.
