The Monastero Santa Rosa is one of the most unique luxury hotels along the Amalfi Coast, perched directly above the sea on the cliffs of Conca dei Marini along the road between Amalfi and Positano. In the 12th century, this complex was home to a comunity of cloistered Domenican nuns, and has now been restored and transformed into an understatedly elegant hotel with all the original architecture of its historic origins.

Seventh Heaven

You will be transported by the scents of citrus trees and Mediterranean herbs which fill the vast terraced gardens on four levels, furnished with welcoming outdoor sofas and shaded chaise lounges. On the lowest level along the horizon, the heated infinity pool skirts the cliff edge, making it difficult to tell where the water ends and the sky begins. You'll feel like you are in seventh heaven in this lush secret garden suspended over the sea.

Every corner of the Monastero Santa Rosa offers up heavenly views: each window, balcony, and terrace overlooks the endless turquoise waters of the Mediterranean, from the Gulf of Salerno to the shores of the Amalfi Coast.

A Room Among the Clouds

The 20 luxurious rooms and suites at the Monastero Santa Rosa Hotel & Spa are made up of the original cells from the historic monastery, some of which still have their original architectural details, inlcuding vaulted ceilings. Each room is unique, but all are united by a common air of serenity and spiritual calm which marks the entire complex.

Each room is named for one of the medicinal herbs which is grown in the monastery's garden and is furnished with an elegant, refined decor, with careful attention paid to creating a calming environment which combines physical relaxation and inner peace.
The suites are all unique in their size, decor, and architecture, each with their own singular style and ambience. Some include elegant living and dining areas, or breathtaking terraces with lemon trees and bougainvillea.

The Rosa Suite is more a private residence than a hotel suite. The sumptuously exclusive space is furnished with original furniture and precious antiques from the monastery, and is on two levels for a total floor space measuring 130 squre meters. The view from this stunning suite is spectacular and perfect for a romantic honeymoon or other special occasion.

Heaven on the Plate

The hotel's Chef Christoph Bob creates innovative Mediterranean dishes prepared exclusively with products from the monastery's own garden, served with all the elegance of luxury fine dining.

A meal on the terrace of Monastero Santa Rosa Hotel & Spa in an extraordinary experience, with the best gourmet cuisine served against the backdrop of one of the most dramatic views along the Amalfi Coast.

For formal dining, choose the restaurant terrace or dining rooms. For a light lunch, you can order poolside and enjoy your meal while basking in the sun overlooking the sea...

Exclusive Wellness in the Thermal Suite

The Spa at Monastero Santa Rosa was dug directly from the cliff rock, and seems worlds away from the stress of daily life. Relax in the tiepidarium, steam room, ice fountain, sauna cave, massage pool, spa shower, and foot baths.

For true indulgence, the Spa Suite includes beds for beauty and water treatments and a private outdoor sundeck shaded by a lush pergola.
