Palazzo Pascal sits on a scenic spot in Scala, just three kilometers from Ravello, one of the most historic and charming hamlets along the Amalfi Coast. The palazzo itself has a history stretching over centuries, though it was renovated to convert it from an aristocratic residence into suites of the historic palazzo, a panoramic pool and lounge areas, all elegantly furnished and boasting breathtaking views.

We stayed here for two days of our honeymoon after reading the reviews, but unfortunately, we were very disappointed. We had come from Hotel Onda Verde, which was amazing, so we had high hopes for this hotel. The restaurant and swimming pool areas are messy and feel more like a back garden than a five-star hotel. What was most disappointing, however, was our dinner on the last night. We had been given a bottle of Prosecco by the hotel for our honeymoon, which we had not drunk, so we took it down to dinner with us. We were initially told that we could not drink it with our meal and would have to drink it in our room. When we explained how ridiculous we thought this was, they eventually allowed us to have it with dinner. The food quality was shocking. My wife’s sea bass was served cold and raw. They cooked a new one, but by the time her replacement arrived, I had already finished my meal. They did not offer to cook my meal again so that we could eat together. My gluten-free pasta was also one of the blandest meals I have eaten for a very long time. Each dish costs €31, and the menu is very limited. They claim to have a five-star rating, but in our opinion, they are at best a three-star hotel. It is also incredibly surprising that they have been awarded Michelin recognition for hospitality. Overall, this was very disappointing, particularly given the price of over €500 a night. I very rarely leave reviews, but I feel compelled to write this one. Definitely not worth staying here until they massively up their game.

Palazzo Pascal is a splendid place, but what made our stay truly special was the exceptional welcome from all the staff. From the very first moment, we felt welcomed with an authentic kindness that is rare to find: attentiveness, availability, professionalism, and a care for the guest that goes well beyond simple hotel service. Every request was handled with a smile and with the evident desire to make our stay perfect. The property is beautiful and the setting is wonderful, but it is above all the people who leave the most beautiful memory. A staff capable of making you feel not simply a customer, but a guest who is truly expected and pampered. Thank you all for making these days even more special. We will definitely return.

Palazzo Pascal is truly something special. From the moment we arrived, everything felt warm, personal and effortlessly luxurious. The hotel itself is absolutely beautiful, with incredible attention to detail and breathtaking views that somehow look even better in person. What really made our stay exceptional was the hospitality. The staff were genuinely welcoming, attentive and incredibly helpful, making us feel completely looked after while still allowing us to relax and enjoy our stay. Nothing ever felt like too much trouble. Our room was beautiful, comfortable and immaculately presented, and the entire property has such a peaceful, intimate atmosphere. Waking up to the views of the Amalfi Coast was something we will never forget. The food and breakfast were also fantastic — fresh, delicious and the perfect way to start the day. Palazzo Pascal has the charm and personal service of a boutique hotel combined with the quality and attention to detail you would expect from a luxury property. It was one of the highlights of our time in Italy and a place we would return to without hesitation. If you’re looking for somewhere truly special to stay on the Amalfi Coast, Palazzo Pascal is an absolute gem. Highly recommended! 🇮🇹❤️

Palazzo Pascal — An 11 Out of 10 Hidden Gem on the Amalfi Coast

Our stay at Palazzo Pascal has been exceptional. We are staying in the beautiful Angelica Room, which is spacious, elegant and immaculately presented, with breathtaking views that make it truly special. The attention to detail throughout the property is extraordinary. Beautiful ceramic pieces from the family’s own Ceramiche D’Arte collection add colour, character and a touch of magic. The elegant lounges and numerous sitting areas create a wonderfully relaxed atmosphere, giving the property the intimate luxury and refinement of an Aman or Four Seasons resort. Everything is spotlessly clean, the beds are exceptionally comfortable, and the entire property has been restored with enormous care while retaining its authentic character. Pasquale and his wife, Madelina, are wonderful hosts who have made us feel genuinely welcome. Together with their excellent team, they have looked after us beautifully throughout our stay. The service is warm, personal and attentive, and nothing is ever too much trouble. The hotel’s restaurant, Gli Ulivi, serves breakfast, lunch and dinner, and the food is sensational. The breakfast is without question the best we have experienced anywhere on the Amalfi Coast. The poolside Berry Bar also whips up a wonderful Bellini to enjoy while taking in the stunning views. The location is far more convenient than many people might expect. The bus stop is only about 50 metres from the front door, making it easy to explore Ravello, Amalfi and the rest of the coast. Because Scala is one of the first stops, you generally have a much better chance of getting a seat—an enormous advantage during the busy summer season. We would strongly recommend Palazzo Pascal and Scala as a far better option than staying in busy Ravello. Ravello is only a quick bus ride away, while here you can enjoy the same magnificent surroundings in a quieter, more authentic and relaxing setting. Palazzo Pascal is a true hidden gem. We loved it so much that we extended our stay and will most certainly return. It is an 11 out of 10 from us!
