A unique gastronomic experience enjoyed at Relais Blu in Massalubrense (Sorrento) by Antonino Acampora, who earned his first star with chef Fumiko Sakai: typically Mediterranean scents and flavors, enriched by refined notes of culinary mastery from the Japanese reality, transform this relais into a blue oasis created by the vibrant sea that surrounds the sloping terraces of the structure overlooking Cala di Mitigliano... myrtle, olive trees, and lentisk breathe in unison with the skin of the sea, just as the raw materials of the various courses are infused with the Eastern influences and contrasts of the chef, masterfully integrated and fused into the Mediterranean dimension. The entrance of our tasting, the Cala di Mitigliano menu, took off with a strong Japanese presentation identity: steamed carrots with whole grain wafers and blueberry sauce, a seal of opening followed by an explosive local red mullet that dances on the palate thanks to a crust of aromatic herbs and a salad of puntarelle and oranges with "origami" of almond, fennel sauces, and an underlying dressing of pine nuts, almonds, and grains. The tasting of tuna belly served with fava beans, also presented as a foam and sauce in a trio of alternating textures for sight and taste, was extremely delicate, followed by fusilli in kefir and roasted tomato sauce, an interesting and revolutionary mix. As the catch of the day, we were served grouper with lemon curls, coastal bread, and a reduction of spine bisque, an original fusion flavor... the harmonious embrace between Japanese and Mediterranean culinary culture surprises even in desserts, starting with a quenelle of pineapple sorbet that prepares the palate for a chocolate mousse that seals a vanilla ice cream with miso caramel and a finale of small pastries paying homage to Japanese symbols like mini strawberry fans. A rich and original tasting experience in a secluded landscape context, caressed by the sea and transparent Eastern notes.

Wow wow wow! It’s all about the view of Capri but the service is excellent too. Great hotel, lovely room, private gardens on 2nd floor and a wonderful small eternity pool for cooling down.
Michelin starred restaurant serves tasting menus with lots of delightful little courses.
Views of the whole bay of Naples. Evening sunsets of smoky pink as Capri seems to melt into the sea.
Even better if they changed the music though! Relentless pop played in the restaurants and relaxation places. Either silence or quieter intrusive music would be more classy!

Our stay at Relais Blu was absolutely unforgettable. The location is breathtaking, with panoramic views of the sea and Capri that feel almost unreal. The service was truly outstanding — professional, warm, and personal.
A special mention goes to the amazing gentleman at the reception, whose kindness, efficiency, and genuine hospitality made our stay even more memorable. The entire team in the bar and restaurant was also fantastic — attentive, friendly, and clearly proud of what they do. Every meal was a highlight, both in taste and presentation. Relais Blu combines luxury, comfort, and heartfelt service in the best possible way.
