Ristorante Da Mimì

Honestly, I have no idea why this place is rated as highly as it is. It is in a walled patio and is possibly one of the few places in Ravello that does not have a view. The food was C+. Service was incredibly rushed. If you are OK with mediocre food and service, then you are better off at a place with a great view of the coast. The only gluten-free option on the menu is pizza. Their gluten-free pizza crust is premade, perfectly round, not what you see for pizza in the photos for this restaurant. My pistachio crusted pork was tasteless. Try someplace else.

We had lunch for two and we were satisfied. The pizza was really good, well-cooked and with quality ingredients. The french fries were also good, even if the portion seemed a bit small to us for €7. We had two pizzas, a portion of fries, a bottle of water, and two cover charges, for a total of €50. The price is therefore a bit high, especially considering the cost of the water and cover charges as well, but we are in Ravello and the setting certainly has an impact. Overall a good experience and 4 well-deserved stars.

I happily return to this pizzeria/restaurant to enjoy their pizza again, excellent in ingredients, preparation, and good taste. The intense heat of this scorching summer forced us to eat inside the restaurant, rather than in their pleasant garden. However, the entire space is pleasant due to the decor, and the coolness is remarkable. I was pleased to note that the general cuisine, in addition to the pizzeria, has also improved, and I took advantage of this by coming here for three consecutive lunches. Congratulations

Our dining experience at Mimi's was probably the best on our trip. In a part of the world where feeding a family 5 while eating out can leave such a hole in the wallet it removes all enjoyment, this was manageable without sacrificing quality and the service was excellent. Highly recommended.
