Ristorante Glicine is the Michelin-starred restaurant at the Hotel Santa Caterina, welcoming guests on its panoramic veranda overlooking the sea, shaded by centuries-old wisteria.

The spectacular view here almost steals the show from the culinary creations of Salerno chef Giuseppe "Peppe" Stanzione. Chef Stanzione has a long track record of successful restaurants, as well as international culinary experience in California, Australia, China, and Thailand. Chef Stanzione's passion for eastern cuisine has resulted in delicious innovations here at Glicine. Guests enjoy one-of-a-kind dishes that blend traditional flavors of the Campania region with more exotic Asian influences. The restaurant also offers a wide range of dishes for suitable for vegan, vegetarian, and gluten-free diets.

A perfect evening on the Amalfi Coast

Me and my girlfriend visited for dinner in May 2026. We had tried to book but weren’t able to get a reservation as they had been full, but we sent an email and they got back to us saying they had a space - and how fortunate were we. The food was absolutely incredible, the atmosphere was perfect, the service impeccable and the views second to none. We paid €160 for 5 courses, but with all the extras it was closer to 9. They catered for our individual dietary requirements, allowing us to have a full experience that we both enjoyed. They even provided a complimentary shuttle for us back to Amalfi. I would absolutely recommend Glicine to anyone.

A perfect 40th birthday dinner We celebrated my wife's 40th birthday at Glicine and it absolutely did not disappoint. We started with cocktails at the bar, which set the tone beautifully — gorgeous space, expertly made drinks, and a relaxed atmosphere that made it easy to settle in before dinner. We opted for the 5-course tasting menu and it was outstanding from start to finish. Each course was thoughtfully composed and beautifully presented, showcasing the best of the region. Our waiter was warm, knowledgeable, and made the evening feel genuinely special, and the sommelier nailed every single pairing — each pour elevated the dish in front of us and we discovered a few Campanian wines we'll be hunting down at home. If you're looking for a special-occasion dinner on the Amalfi Coast, this is the place. We left feeling like we'd had one of the best meals of our lives. Thank you to the entire team for making my wife's 40th unforgettable.

Cozy place with excellent service and great views of the bay. Maybe a little too pretentious and rigid for me, but it's nothing negative in itself. I think I just appreciate michelin restaurants combined with a slightly more relaxed energy. However, our waiter did everything in his power to make our evening a success, and it was. Very beautiful and well cooked food!

enchanting evening at Glicine Restaurant

During a trip to the Amalfi Coast with three friends, we walked past the Santa Caterina hotel. We were immediately impressed by this beautiful hotel. Back at our Airbnb, we googled the hotel and saw that it also had a Michelin star restaurant. We discussed it briefly and decided that we definitely wanted to eat there. Fortunately, we did, and we will never forget our evening at Glicine. The food and service were excellent, and we had a wonderful evening. Everyone was very friendly and helpful. We immediately felt at ease. In addition, the food was delicious. We were also very impressed by the presentation of the food, such as the ‘starfish’ with the aperitif and the ‘lemon’ with the dessert. The atmosphere in the restaurant was also enchanting. We would definitely recommend it!
