We recently took a private tour of the Amalfi Coast with Massimo (Max) from Sorrento, and I cannot recommend him highly enough. Max was, simply put, the reason the trip was magical. Max arrived on time and was waiting patiently for our pickup. Given his experience and expert navigation (the windy roads mixed with adventurous tourist drivers), he ensured we avoided the early morning rush, which gave us a huge advantage throughout the day. Our family felt like we were visiting a knowledgeable cousin throughout the tour. Our tour was great, from the initial communications to the end of day drop off. Giuseppe was our guide- friendly, knowledgable and an excellent driver. He was flexible in timing if we wanted to modify time suggestions, and also happy to take group photos for us. The Mercedes van was clean and comfortable for our group of five. Thanks for a great outing!

Our driver was Nunzio - he was very knowledgable, great driver and helped us miss as much of the crowds as possible (can't avoid the traffic unfortunately) - perfect english and he knew the cultural history and all the best spots to make the day enriching. He put together a great days experience and ensured our pickups and transfers were seamless. Planned out and explained how to navigate both Positano and Ravello - made excellent recommendations for stops and lunch venues - by the end of the day, we felt like we had a new friend from the Compania region! Driving the Amalfi coast is definitely not something one wants to do themselves on a first trip especially. Do a provate tour - the buses and boats will just drop you in Amalfi where there is literally very little to do! Positano and Ravello are really the highlights of the area. We spent the most time exploring Ravello which ended up being a great decision!
