Ristorante Savò

We spent a week on the Amalfi coast. The food and service at Savo was amazing. Lots of tourist traps and poor offerings in Amalfi and especially in Positano. This little town of Atrani had two of the best restaurants on the Amalfi coast and I’d put Savo up against any restaurant I’ve ever been to. Fresh pasta, incredible tomatoes, lemon pasta was incredible. I asked for a recommendation and Elia suggested the zucchini pasta which was one of the cheaper items on the menu. Where do they do that? He was right and it may have been one of the best pasta dishes I’ve ever had. Carla and Elia make you feel like family and that’s very rare now a days. All around 5 stars!! I’d give 6 if I could

Having watched The Equalizer 3 film many times I had to visit this quaint little restaurant that is in the film whilst visiting the Amalfi coast. We just wanted a small lunch so ordered a couple of tomato and mozzarella paints and were not only huge but probably one of the tastiest sandwiches we'd ever had. The lady that I presume owns the restaurant was so friendly and accommodating and really made us feel welcome. And as a bonus we got to sit where Denzel Washington sat in the film. All in all we loved our lunch stop and would definitely return for food if we ever visit beautiful Atrani in the future.

The best restaurant we came to on our trip. Exceptional food and the kindest, most friendly staff we have ever experienced in a restaurant. We spent a lot of our evening chatting to Carla (in broken Italian) and she was only too happy to help us practice our language skills. Genuinely our most memorable evening from our trip down the Amalfi Coast. We would come back just to eat here again!

A general rule I’ve found is that most positive online reviews are either exaggerated or fake, while most negative ones tend to be more reliable. I had lunch at Savo, hoping to experience the praised food. I ordered pasta with clams, and the clam portion was disappointingly small. The pasta portion was decent, but it wasn’t house-made. The flavor was okay, though it was too salty for my taste. Overall, it didn’t offer good value. I wouldn’t miss the food if I didn’t go back. If you happen to be in the area, it’s fine to eat here, but I don’t understand why people rave about the food.
