My wife and I are well traveled and have visited many restaurants. We live in Washington DC and Florida and have had many food experiences. This restaurant was spectacular. It starts with the greeting and the escort up the elevator or stairs into the restaurant and then thevexplanation of the restaurant the view and the history. They have one of the most extensive cocktail menus that I have seen in a long long time. Please especially try the local gins. Their gin selection is numerous. Included in your meal are various food tastings you don’t expect. I would recommend three or five course à la carte tasting where you can pick three courses or five courses. Please note that dessert is included as one of your courses so that if you get the three course you get a dessert and two other choices. You can choose from all the categories you do not have to choose a first course and second course or a third course you can choose everything from the main course if you wish. They will do a wine pairing for you even though it’s not listed on the menu you just have to talk to the Sommelier and he will take it from their based on what you have ordered. i’ve never experienced such a wonderful wine pairing. He adopted three different styles based on what people were eating. One style was an Italian style wine tasting. The second style was a french style wine tasting and the third style was an English style wine tasting. I had to look up all the differences on AI after dinner. What a sophisticated wonderful evening. Service was spectacular. The kitchen is right there where you eat so you can smell the food and see them making fresh food. It’s probably the second or third best restaurant I’ve ever eaten in my 40 years of business. Plan to spend anywhere for $200-$300 per person, but it is worth it.

We had lunch at the Taverna del Capitano restaurant, and the experience was impeccable. From the service to the food. From the welcome to the location. Everything was taken care of in the smallest details, providing an experience tailored to each guest. And the best part? Feeling at home. The environment, certainly elegant, did not weigh down the atmosphere, which was, on the contrary, absolutely familial. Spectacular location. I ate really well: well-kept dishes, top quality ingredients and flavors that you feel at first taste. Very attentive but never intrusive service that manages to create a pleasant and non-formal atmosphere. All the staff are really prepared and the offer of wines is also up to the task. Restaurant located on the beach of Nerano with large window overlooking the sea. Comfortable location and open kitchen. We had dinner with a three-course menu all great. The staff was very knowledgeable and courteous, just the bill.
