The restaurant with the new rooftop room, which can be reached via a beautiful staircase or a panoramic elevator, offers an unforgettable panorama. The kitchen, more than visible, is in the room and allows you to admire the almost surgical gestures that the chefs make in absolute silence and coordination. Welcoming is attentive and courteous without being unnecessarily cast. Federica is a spectacular hostess. The menu enhances the flavors of coastal tradition in admirable technical executions. The wine list is also interesting, with special attention to local wines and Campania wines in general. The cellar from an architectural point of view is a real gem. He deserves a second trip.

Sun and food and wine holiday on the Amalfi coast. Visited 3 starred restaurants. The winner is absolutely the Captain's Tavern. I start from the first strong point: feel the history of the dishes linked to the love of family and territory. Few frills, decisive dishes, that reach the point that I look for in a restaurant. The emotion. And the plates of Matthew and Alfonso give them. Each dish struck me, I would say more the appetizers and first courses. That come to be subliminal. Another plus point: the pleasant Service, attentive not haughty but lively, warm you feel. In my life I have visited about fifty Michelin stars, both in Italy and abroad. A few 3 stars. But in no one and I say in no one have I ever gone out with the feeling so satisfying to have spent an experience at the table that becomes a story to remember and tell forever.
