Let me first start by staying wow and what an amazing location and view! Impeccable. For a special occasion or just splurging I would for sure go again but here is my experience. Not so great. My friend and I had reservations for dinner for our 60th bday. As we walked in the greeter was so charming and offered to take our picture. So sweet. Patio location table was perfect. So charming. Then it went kinda left. Yes I am from the states and do know service is a bit different in Italy. As we were given our menus we did know there was a chef tasing menu but my friend is pretty picky with her food so we opted for the al la carte menu. It was perfect. Had all she wanted. She is not as adventurous as me on food. Our server who was a bit cold came to get our order. We politely asked "is it ok to order from the al la carte menu.?" Before we could let him know the food choices on the tasting menu were not up our ally he proceeded to say and make sure we knew. "this is a minimum charge table!" ya rudely. Ya I know its Italy. But in our 3 week stay this was our first cold experience. I responded and said well let us order and see where we stack up. Seriously. Come on. The rest of the evening was a bit weird but whatever. We order and food was amazing. From squid salad, lobster risotto and her fish. My filet mignon was just ok. Would not order that again. Desert was great. So with this all said ya our bill was $350 us dollars. way over the chef menu. When the bill came I did ask. "did we hit your minimum?" He did not know how to take that. But gladly took my card. In the end the server was horrible and hospitality was not of their level. Thank goodness there is not a tipping culture in Italy..... I may do lunch next time to see how that one goes.

The location is fantastic, but that was not a surprise; the wonderful thing was feeling at home, excellent hospitality, and always present and courteous service. We enjoyed a fantastic Amalfi risotto where the colors, aromas, and combinations of ingredients were intoxicating; the oysters and raw seafood looked like paintings to admire, thank you for the fantastic experience. We will return.

Beautiful location and exceptional views. Food was ok, but we have had better. That is the only good comment I have to make about this restaurant. I booked the table back in the UK before coming on holiday to Maiori, it was a surprise for my husband’s 60th birthday which was on the day we arrived for the meal. I did not book the Belevista restaurant and wanted a table nearer the rocks as a special celebration. On arrival there was a wedding ceremony and entering the restaurant we were told that I had booked the Belavista and could not be seated anywhere else due to the wedding. I booked the table weeks before my arrival why wasn’t I told in the email there was a wedding booked there. Plus the waiters were the most miserable people I have ever come across in a restaurant. My husband has an allergic reaction to fish, I explained he couldn’t eat fish in my email. Yet they served hors d’oeuvres with taramaslata, yet the waiter insisted there was no fish of any description on the plate. I think you will find Mr. Waiter that taramasalata is made from fish eggs. Not once did any member of staff wish my husband a happy birthday and when we asked for a 5 minutes or so break after the main before receiving our desserts, it appeared to annoy the staff. Over half an hour later the desserts had not arrived. I went and asked a waiter where they were, he jumped down my throat and said ‘ You asked for a rest’. Absolutely disgusting behaviour from a waiter and we would never, ever go to this restaurant again. And we have lots of family here on the Amalfi Coast, my husband’s Mother is Italian. We have also told them about the treatment we received and they will not be coming there again either.

Location was amazing, view was spectacular. Loved learning about the history. Sadly, the main server was rude. We reserved a table that had a fixed menu, which we knew, but we would have had to make quite a few changes and decided it would be easier to do ala carte. Upon letting our main server know our change he let us know that we needed to be aware that it is a $ limit table. This was absolutely fine and we knew that. The problem was his delivery. He spoke to us like we were idiots and gave off the impression that we wouldn’t be able to afford our meals. That left a bad impression. Regardless of a language barrier, it is unacceptable to be spoken to in that manner. On top of that, the food overall was not the best.
