A dream place on the Amalfi Coast.
This restaurant, which looks like something out of a seafront castle, has simply wonderful views. It also has access to a small beach that makes the experience even more special.
We really enjoyed the family moment: the service was warm and very friendly, and the food... really spectacular. We tasted the best fettuccini with pomodoro from our whole trip in Italy — and that’s what we’ve been going through for 20 days.
A magical corner that combines landscape, taste and an unforgettable atmosphere. Definitely a place to come back.
Fantastic experience

Debating certain things in life without exposing yourself to the risk of encroaching on rhetoric is a very difficult task.
Among these things, it is certainly counted on the day of one's wedding. Because, it is said, in that case it is physiological to be biased, and the risk of being self-referential, self-referential and self-celebratory becomes quite real.
In such cases, it is advisable to suspend judgment, or otherwise deprive it of its emotional component.
There are, then, other things in life that, at the same time as they happen and come into existence, are affirmed in terms of granite certainty, dispelling at root any possibility of unconscious and a priori conditioning.
So it was for us to have organized our wedding reception at "Torre Normanna", guided by the skilful direction of the brothers Ivano, Gino, Daniele and Massimo Proto.
Torre Normanna is a restaurant that takes its name from the medieval building within which it is allocated, a tower perched on the rock, set in a setting where the natural element blends and reconnects with the human element, while finding its intersection point and its balance point.
It would be enough to create the most favorable conditions to mature the memory of an enchanting sensory journey.
But if you add to this the competent skill of the Proto brothers, the multiple amenities of the house, the magic of the Amalfi coast, the freshness of the food, the genuine authenticity of the flavors and preparations, as well as -thanks to a lucky astral conjunction- a summer climate in December, the experience risks taking on the connotations of the sublime.
The brigade of the Tower is an orchestra in which every element is co-essential to the others, in a relationship of harmony and mutual complementarity, where every single detail contributes to creating the best possible symphony because it is the result of painstaking study and not put there at random.
There is no out of tune note, no voice outside the choir:
Gino Proto, very nice executive chef of the Tower, is the deus ex machina of the kitchen, a kingdom in which he is assisted by the precious and irreplaceable work of his brother Massimo Proto, a gentle, talented and extremely perceptive man;
Ivano Proto, a reference point for restaurants brought to levels of excellence, is the one who lit our path to a long-sought-after elsewhere, even when we were still groping in the dark, helping us to give life and shape, step by step, to the wedding banquet par excellence;
Daniele Proto, assertive and experienced professional, with great food and wine skills, whose contribution turns out to be, like that of the other brothers, essential.
All the dishes on offer have been revealed, to the test of the facts, as an explosion of flavors; however, an honorable mention deserves the great buffet of the Norman Tower with the scents and colors of the Amalfi Coast, the house raw, the carnaroli gran Riserva creamed with citrus fruits, seared scampi and pistachios from Stigliano, the fresh double yolk pappardelle with lobster and cherry tomatoes from Vesuvius, the turbot crusted with bread and olives, crisp escarole with Amalfi sauce and tomato and pine nut jam, as well as the wedding cake by Sal De Riso, the zeppoline by Gino Proto, the sweets by Massimo Proto... all really superlative!
For the effect, a unanimous chorus of sincere compliments and praise that each guest wanted to pay to us spouses in relation to every single detail, and for which we will always be grateful to the Proto family.
Even the most feared judgments, those coming from those who had a reputation for being severe censors, proved, downstream of the experiential data, to be extremely flattering.
Of course, such beautiful moments would be eternal and never end, while our wedding reception lasted only one day.
But basically it is right, because happiness is nothing but the grace of the moment.
