Un piano nel cielo

We are seasoned travellers and diners and so this review should be read in the context of having dined at several michelin starred restaurants and fine dining establishments. Firstly, view is amazing. However, being seated so close to another couple we felt in a table of 4 was off-putting. Secondly, the service, while professional, was too much; being approached 6 times before choosing wine felt pressured rather than relaxed. Thirdly, the food. The innovative menu was let down on taste and portion size and terribly overpriced. The was also a negative reaction to being forced to order a minimum of 3 courses, something i have not experienced before and being a small eater it felt as if the restaurantwas tying us into a minimum spend. However, the reasons behind this were ultimately revealed when my partner's main meal arrived. It was described as a "lamb terrine," which sounded amazing until it arrived. It was essentially a croquet with some lamb meat inside: 2 inches long and 1 inch wide, with no sides or accompanying dishes. Shock did not appropriately describe our reaction to this ridiculously small meal. This main course was barely one quarter the size of his pork "starter". We were not the only patrons to have this reaction, as we exchanged shocked glances with other diners who ordered the same meal and were visibly upset. The experience was also disjointed. We ordered desert only to be served a spaghetti dish by chef at table (without asking or wanting it) that had a lot of theatrics but was a "forkful" size. We were then inundated with more deserts (petite fours) after our desert. If only they focussed these efforts on the main meal. 750 EUR for 2 is the most expensive and disappointing meal we have had in our 6 week trip to Italy.

Restaurant in a superb location. Innovative cuisine, but always with a reference to traditional dishes. I recommend the chef's historic dishes.

Year after year the quality of the cuisine of this restaurant becomes more accurate and precise, in flavors, cooking, servings... and the sweet part is no less. Worth a detour!

deserved michelin star. we had dinner, the restaurant is very nice, the outdoor rooms are between the sky and the sea of the coast, the name of the restaurant reflects the experience. Seafood dishes with good recipes and presentations. Recommended
