Dining at Un Piano Nel Cielo, the Michelin-starred restaurant on the fourth floor of Casa Angelina in Praiano, was nothing short of extraordinary. After enjoying three dinners here during our stay, we can confidently say that they rank among the very finest dining experiences of our lives, alongside meals we have had in some of the world's most spectacular destinations. From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed by a team whose professionalism, warmth, and genuine passion for hospitality were beyond exceptional. Every detail of the service reflected remarkable dedication, precision, and care, making us feel as though we were the only guests in the restaurant. Chef Leopoldo Elefante has created something truly remarkable. His tasting menu is not simply a collection of courses—it is a carefully crafted culinary journey that surprises, delights, and inspires from beginning to end. Every dish showcases extraordinary creativity, impeccable technique, and an exceptional understanding of flavor. Top-tier experience, first of all compliments to the facility manager and the entire restaurant staff from the manager to the sommelier, bartender, to the girls, all attentive, professional and very kind, to the chef and the pastry chef who served us their specials at the table, even the parking attendants and the reception contributed to making our thirtieth anniversary so special. Un Piano nel Cielo | Praiano, Italy 🇮🇹 1⭐ Michelin Some restaurants are remembered for the food. Others for the view. Un Piano nel Cielo somehow mastered both. Perched high above the Amalfi Coast inside the panoramic views are simply out of this world. As the sun slowly disappeared into the Mediterranean, every course had me in heaven. Led by Chef Leopoldo Elefante, the restaurant showcases the flavors of Campania using many ingredients harvested from its own garden. The evening began with Scallop, Peach, Celery, and Ginger…a pairing I never imagined I’d love, but one I’ll be craving long after leaving Italy. Then came my favorite dish of my entire trip: the 36-Egg Yolk Tagliolini with Amalfi Lemon, Prawns, and Dill. This was everything I dreamed Italian pasta would be: silky, rich, bright, perfectly balanced, and absolutely unforgettable. The Gragnano Linguine continued the momentum, followed by an elegant Red Snapper. One of the evening’s highlights came when Chef Leopoldo Elefante personally served his family’s spaghetti with tomato sauce…a reminder that extraordinary cooking is often found in the simplest dishes with emotion. Dessert belonged to Pastry Chef Michele Di Leva, whose incredible Pastiera Soufflé was followed by me wishing I had one to go as well…as the sun slipped behind the Amalfi Coast. It felt as though the sunset waited until I was done this extraordinary tasting menu. The hospitality matched the food. A special thank you to Nunziata (I hope I’m spelling that correctly!) for taking such wonderful care of me, and to the entire team for making me feel so welcome.
