Zass is the renowned restaurant located in the San Pietro hotel, which is an Amalfi Coast icon.

Featured highlight: The John Dory fish, fragrantly infused with lemon, is complemented by a purée of potatoes prepared with buffalo-milk yogurt and fresh seasonal vegetables.

The Belgian chef Alois Vanlangenaeker has been at the helm of Zass for over two decades, meticulously crafting dishes that elevate traditional Mediterranean flavors while adding a distinct local and regional twist. The restaurant's culinary tradition takes guests on a sensory journey, starting from the first bite of a fragrant Margherita pizza and moving on to sophisticated dishes that shine with elegant creativity. Dishes include fresh ingredients that come directly from the restaurant's own organic garden. The innovative menu offers an array of meat and seafood dishes, including the celebrated lemon-infused San Pietro fish, complemented by buffalo yogurt mashed potatoes, seasonal vegetables, and the restaurant's famed Champagne-truffle sauce. Impeccable fine-dining service is enhanced with live piano music and a dreamlike terrace, making for an experience that will long be remembered and cherished.

On the advice of locals, we chose this restaurant because we wanted to try something different. We found professionalism, friendliness, and empathy from the entire staff, starting with Roberto, and including Ivan, Cosimo, and all the guys and girls in the aperitif and dinner area. Happy and entertained by what we tasted and what the chef proposed. We chose the to the menu, and we relied on the staff for a tasting by the glass that was well paired with what we chose. Excellent pairing for all the dishes. We appreciated the attentiveness of the staff throughout the evening, and when it came to the dishes, they were a great success: Sea bass carpaccio with spring peas and fava beans and sea urchins, egg and lemon tagliatelle with lobster and pistachios, vanilla-glazed lobster, cod cream, spinach with sea fennel and bread lemon. What else can I say but: THANK YOU The last of May 15, 2026 Maradona & Mrs. Careca

Disappointment

It should be a starred restaurant, but we disagreed. Poorly lit environment. Staff so present, too. The glass of water filled when the water was still halfway through. Too much. Long wait for the appetizer. Dishes good but not star. Exaggerated prices!

An experience for the five senses

Do you know when it happens that reality is more beautiful than any imagination? This is what happens at the ZASS restaurant. It was a wonderful, complete, fulfilling experience starting from the magical atmosphere and ending with the flavors and sensations left by each course. Everything is taken care of in detail, the staff very kind; the Service is professional but discreet, you immediately catch the passion that everyone has for their work. No one seems to be here for a chore; each of them seems to love their job and lives it with pride. The dishes are works of art, the menu changes frequently adapting to the produce of the garden perched on the terraces of the restaurant clinging to the rock. I lived my experience slowly, enjoying every moment and awakening all 5 senses. - The view: the environment is cared for in every detail, the soft lights, the lights of Praiano in front. - The Hearing: Discreet Service, Muffled Silence and the Orchestra That Cheers Without Disturbing. - Smell: the scent of fresh produce, the aromas preserved under the metal domes. An unforgettable olfactory experience. - Taste: every dish is a symphony of flavors, an indelible memory. - Touch: attention to detail, such as the choice of cutlery and linen napkins. In summary, a culinary experience that went beyond the simple meal and involved all the senses. An indelible memory.

My first Michelin star restaurant. I thought it wouldn’t fill me up but each course came and by the end I was full and satisfied with the delicious food and presentation. 10/10
