Avoid this boat tour at all costs

A terrible experience with this boat tour company at Isle of Capri. We paid $258 and received nothing in return, apart from a lot of stress. We were booked on the 10am private small group tour.Unfortunately, the first ferry out of Positano was 30 minutes late. We communicated this to the company who directed us to the office & the girl at the desk said it was too late (10.08) and the boat had already departed. She didnt seem interested in helping us and either lied or was very badly mistaken because about 10 minutes later we received a message from the boat asking us where we were, as they were still waiting. The office girl could not tell us where to meet the boat. I think they tried to call me, but poor reception. The isle of Capri is mayhem, with boats, people, taxis & buses. A clear communication about a meeting point the day before may have resolved this disaster of a day. We got back on the next ferry to Positano. A dreadful experience at the isle of Capri or as we call it Isle of Crapi.

Blue Grotto and Tour of Capri with HK

We booked with HP Travel online and met them in the Capri Marina. We got 2 tours, the boat to the Blue Grotto, and then the tour around the island of Capri. We headed down to the Blue Grotto dock and were able to get on the 2nd boat out at 9:30am. I highly recommend doing the Blue Grotto first, as it is typically calmer in the morning. When we came by in the early afternoon on the Capri tour boat, Blue Grotto was closed due to the incoming waves, and the row boats could not get inside. The Blue Grotto tour was supposed to take 1 hour according to the website, however it took about 2 1/2 hours because of the amount of boats waiting, the amount of people who had drove in and were waiting on the stairs, and even in the morning, the waves were a bit high. It was organized chaos with one dude in a row boat shouting and organizing everything. We did not have a timeline that day, so waiting was not an issue for us. So just be aware. The experience of getting in the rowboat and shooting through the small gap was very exciting. And then inside the Blue Grotto was clear blue water. It is impressive. One of the row men started singing in Italian which only added to the cool atmosphere. Some people get very wet, and some people stay dry depending on the wave height. I was in the back of a 4-man boat, and a wave hit me perfectly on the wave in. Totally soaked. But the 2 in the front, totally dry. You circle around for about 5 minutes, and then your row guy shoots you back out. And then takes you back to your boat. It was fun. After getting back to the Marina, we had lunch then headed over to the 1 hour tour around Capri. We were on a bigger boat and sat on top which gave us fantastic views of Capri. As we went around Capri, the Captain explained all the different sites and items to see in English and Italian. It was interesting seeing the different sites of Capri, and how unique they were. Also, the yachts that were along the coast were very impressive. My wife highly recommend booking through HP, though just know the Blue Grotto will most likely be a longer tour.

Brilliant trip. Ilena and Pasquale were phenomenal from start to finish. Got picked up outside Starhotels Terminus in Garibaldi station, so easy to get to. Then we went hiking Vesuvius first. Pro tip, take pictures on the way up as the clouds fall by the time you get down. Then had a surprise visit to taste limoncello and a delicious pizza and beer lunch. Ended at Pompeii which was spectacular. Pasquale was a fantastic driver and ilena was extremely funny and well organized. 10/10.
