A fairytale villa fit for a princess, on the Amalfi Coast

  1. Your dream holiday in a luxury villa on the Amalfi Coast
  2. Soak up the sun by the panoramic infinity pool
  3. Direct access to the sea and water-edge solarium

A luxurious 3 bed villa, sweeping, sun-drenched terraces, a panoramic pool and a sun deck from where to dive into the sea washing Italy's spectacular Amalfi Coast.
No it's not a dream: it's Villa Principessa.

Be warned: once you've discovered this gorgeous gem in the seaside district of Ravello, you'll never want to leave

Each of the villa's bedrooms has an ensuite bathroom with hydromassage tub or chromotherapy shower, and either a terrace or balcony from where to admire the sea.
More like an apartment than a bedroom, the room in the mansard even has its own kitchenette.

The large, light-filled living room furnished with comfy sofas is the villa's much-loved chill-out zone. This is where holidaymakers crash out after a day's sightseeing, listening to music, watching the television or surfing the internet.

In the evenings, you can eat out, in any of the amazing little restaurants close to the villa, or eat in - you'll find everything you need in the villa's professional kitchen.

Villa Principessa is part of Amalfi Vacation: an exclusive collection of villas and apartments, all of which occupy prime locations on Italy's Amalfi Coast

It's not easy to find a holiday home on the Amalfi Coast which has both a private pool and direct access to the sea. Which is one of the reasons why Villa Principessa is such a sought-after place to stay.

The infinity pool, which, at first glance, seems to merge completely into the crystal blue sea, is one of the most beautiful you'll ever see. When they're not lingering by the pool, guests might easily be found lounging on the sea edge solarium, soaking up the Mediterranean sun.

The Italian Way

The accommodation is quaint and romantic for a couple, the fact that it’s cleaned every day and fresh linen and towels is a welcoming change because it just happens. Having lived in Italy for 4 years the air conditioning unit does not do the job, it’s in the wrong location above the door as it can’t compete with the heat. The terraces need some care and attention as they are overgrown and require some gardening, as this spoils the view and also attracts mosquitoes that do bite so take plenty of creams and deterrents. The photos on the website need updating as there is no grass on the terraces and the seat needs some tlc, if you present a photo then that’s what the guest expects when paying in excess of €400 a night to stay. The location is second to none, yes as it’s on the Amalfi coast there are steps to traverse but don’t book if you don’t know this, it won’t distract from the charm but in the heat it can be challenging. The pool is everything you need, cooling and panoramic views. The sea access unfortunately is misleading and not easy to traverse with no bathrooms, meaning you have you to go back up the steps if you require one. The reason I would book again knowing all of the above is Guiseppe, from the moment we arrived until our last day he was nothing more than exceptional. From delivering our daily supplies, to providing transport into Minori no matter what, recommending restaurants and being welcomed on arrival and having a magical experience because Guiseppe had arranged it. Without Guiseppe I wouldn’t return and that’s being honest . A charming place that just needs a little tweak.

Anyone travelling to the Amalfi coast needs to remember most towns are built into the cliff walls which means many, many steps! In fact 177 stairs to the sea deck and 122 to the pool! If you have mobility issues this is not the place for you. The accommodation is intimate, I wouldn’t say it was price point luxurious but it is kept very clean and well presented. The fresh linens and towels everyday is lovely. The a/c unit needs improving but then I am a women of a certain age and I am hot all the time! The 2 private terraces afford a beautiful view but make sure you take your Jungle formula as the slightly overgrown vegetation is perfect for the mosquitoes and I was bitten even when sat out at midday (13 bites to one lower leg, we were only there 7 days and they are me alive). By far the absolute selling point of this accommodation is Giuseppe! I have no idea how much they pay him but if a vast proportion of the rental fee isn’t his it should be! Giuseppe absolutely made this holiday, nothing was too much trouble, from helping us to get around, recommending places to eat and ensuring we were really looked after wherever we went and even stocking the fridge, almost borderline personal valet! He definitely allowed both my partner and I to simply relax and I would return simply because of him! An absolute delight he made us feel like family and in Italy that means everything!

We had an amazing time at Villa Principessa. Our family of 10 spent 5 nights at this beautiful villa. The views were gorgeous. We had plenty of room at the villa for all of us. The steps down to the sea deck was an added bonus and there was also a lovely pool shared among the other guests. Giuseppe was the best! He helped us during our stay and was so nice and attentive. He really made our stay so welcoming We had a wonderful time exploring the Amalfi Coast!

An Amalfi Experience.

We were located right on the sea. We were closest to a small town called Minori. Amalfi and Positano, though nice, in my book they are not Minori. The shops and restaurants were not expensive. The people are the friendliest I have ever met. Our front door opened onto a covered piazza with lemontrees in front and vines overtop. The smell of the sea and the lemontrees in the morning will stir your soul. The accomodation was very clean and well equipped. The bed was very comfortable and the kitchen, though small was well equipped. We were able to make some great dishes from recipes provided by local shopkeepers in Minori, a 10 minute walk away. Go in the morning, you will love the sea breezes. We are already making plans to return. The Amalfi.it team led by Vincenzo were so helpful, patient and kind. If you have the chance to go, stay at this place.

Map

Not everybody knows that there's a part of Ravello by the sea: Marmorata. And it's here on the rocks directly above the sea that Villa Principessa is located.
Amalfi is less than 2kms from the villa. From Amalfi you can quickly reach all the other towns dotted along this spectacular stretch of the Italian coastline: Atrani, Positano, Furore, Minori, Maiori, Cetara and Vietri sul Mare.

Immediately north of the Amalfi Coast, Sorrento, Pompei and Herculaneum all make great day trips. Naples, and the city's ports, train stations and airport, are just over an hour's drive away.
