Amalfi Coast by boat: turquoise waters, iconic villages & the magic of the Emerald Grotto

best trip of my life!! everyone should book it, we even had an opportunity to swim…………………..the girl that was doing the excursion was amazing. i love it

Great day trip. We did the Positano, Emerald Grotto / Amalfi day. Luigi was an excellent guide and made sure we knew where to be and when for the connections. Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend.

A Perfect Day on the Amalfi Coast with Luigi! As soon as we boarded the hydrofoil, Luigi broke the ice with a joke that made everyone smile: “My name is Luigi, not Mario… but the day will still be an adventure!” — and he was absolutely right! Our first stop was in Positano, where we admired the beautiful Church of Santa Maria Assunta and had some free time to explore. Luigi did a great job keeping an eye on everyone while giving us just the right tips to enjoy our time to the fullest. As we sailed along the coast from Amalfi to the Emerald Grotto, Luigi narrated everything we were seeing — from hidden villas to ancient watchtowers and breathtaking views. Once inside the grotto… it was pure magic. He had told us it would be a highlight, and it truly was. Back in Amalfi, he suggested visiting the majestic cathedral and tasting a local treat: the delizia al limone — absolutely delicious! Luigi is thoughtful, professional, and speaks perfect English — one of the few we met in Italy who made us feel so comfortable and well looked after. I highly recommend spending a day with him: you’ll feel relaxed, cared for, and guided every step of the way. With Luigi by your side, every stop becomes a memorable experience!

The views were fantastic and overall a great experience. We didn’t enjoy the short time in Positano, it was only 1 hour and would’ve been nice for it to be a bit longer, but it’s a beautiful village and will take time to go up to see the beautiful view. We went to the grotto and Amalfi, the grotto was cool (would’ve possibly missed given it up to spend more time in Positano, but it was nice.) The highlight however is Luigi, our guide on the trip, he was fantastic and explained / showed us an around. He also recommended amazing lunch and dinner locations!
